The maximum energy product (BH)max of SmCo magnets ranges from 16 MGOe to 32 MGOe. SmCo magnets are also rare earth magnets that can approach sintered neodymium magnets.
The high temperature resistance of SmCo magnets ranges from 250 ° C to 350 ° C, and the Curie temperature ranges from 700 ° C to 840 ° C. This is what makes SmCo magnets different from other magnets, they have high magnetic properties and high operating temperatures.
SmCo magnets can be used in corrosive and oxidizing environments without any surface treatment or coating. If surface coating is required, SmCo magnets can also be surface treated, such as abrasive blasting or electroplating.
SmCo magnets have a high magnetic energy product and extremely low-temperature coefficient. Their maximum operating temperature can reach 350℃. When the working temperature is above 180℃, their maximum magnetic energy product (BHmax), coercivity, temperature stability, and chemical stability all exceed those of the NdFeB permanent magnet materials. Due to SmCo magnets’ strong corrosion and oxidation resistance, they are widely used in aerospace, defense, and military industry, microwave devices, communications, medical equipment, instruments, meters, various magnetic transmission devices, sensors, magnetic processors, motors, magnetic cranes, etc.
